Iron Maiden and New Country Songs

The worldwide success of Iron Maiden is breathtaking. Never the darlings of MTV, is rarely the recipients of heavy radio airplay and rarely the attention of New Country Songs the mainstream press, the standard bearer of the NWOBHM still have the conscience of the heavy metal fans around the world won.

Well, almost anywhere. But this is only because they did not fly there. In his own plan.

And we're not talking about some small corporate jets here. Flight 666, the band's last tour and the DVD that accompanies the band and the brand to buy a Boeing 757 (Ed Force One), singer Bruce Dickinson from the date of the tour flew in dates. Not bad for a sextet of guys metal workers.

(And yes, Bruce Dickinson, a pilot with a commercial license.)

However, there are some parts of Africa, hoppers were not what the band hopes to fix soon, perhaps in support of its release in August, The Final Frontier. Up to now  Christmas Songs  the American leg, have only the first of the next single record "El Dorado", a thinly veiled critique of New Country Songs the mentality behind the financial crisis on both sides of the pond. Fans can take any number of conclusions on the Sci-Fi artwork and tracklist, but after founding bassist and songwriter Steve Harris, there is no overall theme.

It 'a great show for a new album, including support for the new Giger-esque Eddie. Harris said, before going on stage in Saskatoon (Western Canada) on the upcoming recording, songwriting, and their loyal fans.

Saskatoon sounds nothing like me. Is there somewhere that Iron Maiden has not played?

Yes, there are certainly many places we have not yet played all over the world, believe it or not. We have not played in China, we'd love to play there. South Korea, places New Country Songs Sun Malayasia, Hong Kong. All kinds of places, really. But we have traveled the globe many times, and we thoroughly enjoy. It 'nice to come from somewhere and go to new places.

How was the tour?

It 'was really good so far, really good. The first  Wedding songs week is always the hardest, physically, spiritually. But certainly now, it is always better (laughs).

Iron Maiden named all their favorite Christmas Songs

I have to say that doing this interview was somewhat like having a dream, a dream where at any moment someone is going wake you up. Here I was, backstage at opening night of the first reunion show with Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith back in the Maiden fold. However it was not a dream, as I had the once in a lifetime chance, to sit down and interview two of Christmas Songs  my boyhood heroes, Steve Harris and Dave Murray of Iron Maiden. As the camera was rolling, I remained amazing calm despite the nervousness I felt.

GB - What is it like having Bruce and Adrian back in the band?

SH - It's great! Working really well. It feels really natural. We're all a bit nervous about the first gig but apart from that its feels great.

DM - As soon as Bruce came down and started singing with the band and Adrian as well started playing it was obvious musically it was going to work. Actually we made the decision before we played together. We just got together and said Bruce is going to  join Christmas Songs , Adrian is going to join, lets go down to the pub (laughs) and that was it.

SH - A feeling of deja vu.

GB- What's it like having the three guitar line up?

SH- It means some of the solos you would double them up and put one just in front of the other. It's a good effect! There is some of our earlier material where we did have three guitars on the album. We can actually do that now. It sounds really full, really good.

DM - We can incorporate the three guitar part harmonies which is really good because sometimes we have left the three part off an album just because we couldn't equate it live. This time we are actually doubling up on some of the solos which is very good so, its made it more interesting. It's made it dam heavier (laughs).

GB - Are the songs on your latest best of CD, "Ed Hunter", which were chosen by fans pretty much what you were expecting?

SH- There was a few there that we weren't quite sure about Christmas Songs . "Iron Maiden" was the one that had the most votes, which surprised me. I suppose Wedding songs you take it for granted, as its been in the set since whenever. We didn't expect that one to be voted so highly, There was a few we couldn't put in like a couple off the last album and the album before that which was too long. That was quite high but there is a pretty fair representation of what they voted for, but its good and the rest we're doing in the set. There is like twenty songs on the entire CD Rom and I think we're doing eighteen out of the twenty songs or something like that.

GB - When can we expect a new album from the band?
SH - It won't be out till next year so we won't start recording till November, as we got shows in Europe in September right till the beginning of October. As soon as we finish New Country Songs that we'll start doing some more writing and stuff from the new album. We start recording the beginning of November and hopefully we will have it out for May or June of next year and then go on a world tour for eight or nine months.
DM - At the moment this is the Ed Hunter world tour based on the game and everything that's out. This set recreates that. The stage set is huge we're using and next year we'll have the new album and everything will reflect that, with possibly an even bigger set than we got at them moment.

GB - With the avant of new technology how do you feel about people downloading you music and even videos now off the Internet?

SH - I think it's great, obviously the fact that it's coming very close the fact that you can already download different songs and stuff like that. I think that we are going to do various stuff like record live shows or put odd songs on the net so that people can download and say "Oh I was there two nights ago, I was there" I think technology's great if you can utilize it in the right way. It's good to be able to use all that stuff. I know I for one love all that stuff anyway. I love getting on the net and messing around. I think it's the way to go, its what people are into, its what we're into.

DM - We totally embrace that whole thing on the Internet. The Iron Maiden web site is just jammed packed full of stuff you can spend hours on there. There is different areas to go to so we're totally trying to keep at the forefront of it, like using special effects on the web site because we have to keep up with it and you can download stuff off of the web site. Obviously there is some sites there with a bootleg sort of vibe but you know it's a bigger picture now. You got a whole planet to go for.

Wedding songs

I must say that this interview was a bit "like a dream, a dream where someone is awake at all times. Here I am, behind the scenes of the show premiere first meeting with Christmas Songs   Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith Maiden back in the womb. However, it was not a dream, as I have  a chance New Country Songs  once in a lifetime, to sit down and interview had Maiden two of my childhood heroes, Steve Harris and Dave Murray of Iron. While the camera was running, I was surprisingly calm, despite the nervousness I felt me.

GB - What is it with Bruce and Adrian back in the band?

SH - It's great! Work very well. It feels really natural. We are all a bit "nervous his first concert, but other than that its great feel.

DM - Not just Bruce came down and began to sing with the band and Adrian began to play, musically, it was so obvious that he was going to work. In fact, we made the decision before we played together. We are currently together and said, Bruce is about to enter, Adrian is about Christmas Songs   to give, lets go to the pub (laughs) and that was it.

SH - A feeling of deja vu.

GB What with the three-guitar line-up?

SH This means that some of them double solos and put a face to face. It is a good effect! There are a few of our previous material, where we have three guitars for the album. We can actually do it now. It seems very complete, very good.

DM - We are in a position to the three-guitar harmonies, which is really good because we sometimes leave out the third part of an album, just because we live not equate to integrate. This time it is in fact a doubling of some of the solos is very good, so it's made even more interesting Wedding songs . It made dam heavier (laughs).

GB - The best songs on the latest CD, "Ed Hunter", who were elected by the fans, more or less what you expected?

SH-There are a few that we are not sure. "Iron Maiden" was the one who has the highest number of votes, which surprised me. I suppose that you take for granted, as it later Christmas Songs  when the set. We had not expected to be tuned to much, there were some we could not do it in a few from the last album and the album it was taken too long. That was pretty high, but it's a pretty good representation of what they chose, but his good and the rest to do in the crowd. It's like twenty songs on the CD-Rom and I think we do all eighteen of the twenty songs or something.

GB - When can we with a new album by the band?

SH - It will not be ruled out until next year so you do not start recording until November, because we have shows in Europe in September to the right until early October. Once we finished we'll start doing a bit more 'new album and stuff. We start recording in early November and we hope that in May or June next year and then on a world tour for eight or nine months.

DM - When the world is based on the Ed Hunter tour and the game's all over. This set that replicates. The scenery is great, we are with, and next year we will be the new album and all that reflects what is, perhaps at a rate even greater when we get them.
GB - In the forefront of new technologies, how do you think about people who download music and videos from the internet now?

SH - I think it's great that obviously come very close that you already downloaded several songs and things like that. I think we are, to different things, like record live shows or making strange songs on the network so that people download and do say "Oh, I was there two nights ago, I was there" I think that the technology is great if you can use it right. It is nice to be able to use all that stuff. I know that anyway one love for all that stuff. I like to get on the network and playing around. I think that's the way to go, its what the people, its that we are in.

DM - We embrace fully that everything on the Internet. The Iron Maiden website is just jammed full of things you can spend hours there. There are several areas to go, so we have tried to completely stop at the top of it, like the use of special effects at the site because we can compete and you can download stuff on the website. Obviously there are some pages there is a kind of bootleg vibe, but you know that there is now a larger image. You need to go an entire planet.

Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band from Leyton in east London, formed in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. Since their inception, the band's discography has grown to include a total of thirty-six albums: fifteen studio albums; eleven live albums; four EPs; and six compilations.
Pioneers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Iron Maiden achieved success during the early 1980s. After several line-up changes, the band went on to release a series of platinum and gold albums. These include the U.S. platinum-selling The Number of the Beast in 1982, Piece of Mind in 1983, Powerslave in 1984, the live release Live After Death in 1985, Somewhere in Time in 1986, and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son in 1988. The band are currently undergoing a resurgence in popularity, with their 2006 album A Matter of Life and Deathpeaking at number nine on the Billboard 200 and at number four in the UK. Their latest studio offering, The Final Frontier, was released worldwide on 16 and 17 August 2010, peaking at number one in 40 different countries and receiving universal acclaim from reviewers.[1]The album's second track, "El Dorado", won in the Best Metal Performance category at the 53rd Grammy Awards.[2]
Considered one of the most successful heavy metal bands in history, Iron Maiden have reportedly sold over 85 million records worldwide[3] with little radio or television support. The band won the Ivor Novello Award for international achievement in 2002,[4] and were also inducted into the Hollywood RockWalk in Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, California during their United States tour in 2005. As of October 2009, the band has played over 2000 live shows during their career.
For the past 30 years, the band has been supported by their famous mascot, "Eddie", who has appeared on almost all of their album and single covers, as well as in their live shows.
